David immigrated from Israel to the US with only $600 in his pocket and a whole lotta debt. After teaching himself how to fix appliances on YouTube, David founded Nana Academy, named after his mother.

Nana Academy is an affordable online school that teaches essential trade skills in an effort to empower marginalized communities, offset job loss due to automation, and help individuals bounce forward into new careers in skilled labor.

Within 2 years of founding Nana Academy, David had grown the company to over $4 million in revenue.

About David Zamir

David started his first business when he was 22 years old. He never went to college. In June 2013, he immigrated to the US with $600 in cash and a debt of $200k.

Before he learned the appliance repair trade skill, he knew how to make money with his mind and words. Learning trade skills empowered him with a sense of economic security. He learned how to make money with his hands. He paid back his debt within 2 years.

He finds excitement in workforce development and the empowerment of marginalized communities and people at a high risk of job loss due to tech automation. He started 10 different companies in 4 different industries and gained essential insights from each humbling experience.

Learning a trade empowered him with a sense of fulfillment from helping others and provided the economic security to support his family. He founded Nana so others could follow his path.

Nana Academy was named after David’s own mother to honor and respect the woman who worked tirelessly to provide for the family when his father suddenly passed away.
